Sakura Bloom Silk Essential ring sling arrives! April 26, 2010

Our newest arrival to our sling library is a Sakura Bloom Silk Essential ring sling, kindly donated by Sakura Bloom. This gorgeous sling is made from 100% silk and is ideal to wear to a wedding or christening. Please note that the hire fee for this sling is £10 as it will only be hired out for special functions, however it will be available to try out at our meets – our next meet is on Friday 7th May, 9.30-11am at our usual venue.
Busiest ever meet today! April 9, 2010
Posted by admin in : Uncategorized , comments closedMany thanks to everyone who came along to our April meet today. It was our busiest one ever, with 40 families coming along and over 20 slings hired out for the month. We hope you all have fun trying out the slings over the coming month!
Apologies to anyone who might not have got all of the advice that they were after today due to how busy we all were. New Babywearing Consultant in Southampton March 29, 2010

On the weekend of March 26th-28th 2010, Debbie Hampton undertook Babywearing Instructor training with ClauWi (a German Babywearing school) who sent two instructors over to run the course in Cambridge. As a result, she has now set up her own Babywearing Consultancy. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the theory behind safe babywearing as well as getting individual tuition on how to carry their baby safely and comfortably can learn more from her website.
Two custom made Melkaj mei tais join our library! March 8, 2010

Thanks to a very generous donation by Agnieszka who makes Melkaj mei tais, we now have two of her custom made carriers in our library. They will both be available to try out and hire at our next meet on Friday 9th April, from 9.30 until 11am.
Revised meet dates for April and May March 3, 2010

Due to the Bank Holidays at the beginning of both April and May, our meets for those months have been postponed until the following Friday morning. Therefore, our next two meets take place on Friday 9th April and Friday 7th May, from 9.30 until 11am. From June onwards, our meets will return to their usual 1-3pm slot on the first Monday of the month.
Apologies for any inconvenience or confusion caused.
