I borrowed this in December and it's been great - my favourite Mei Tai so far!

Positives:
Padding on the shoulder straps helps the wearers comfort. The fleece (minki) lining is really cozy and my 8-9month old baby looked really snuggly in it - it's a great winter sling. He's quite a tall baby and there is still good support for his neck in this sling. This was used by several family members over Christmas and they all loved it too - even my dad said it was easy to use!

Negatives:
As others have said above the straps can fall on the floor and get wet if you're putting it on outside but I haven't found a mei tai yet that doesn't have that problem. It took me a bit of practice to get baby carries right, but I've found that with most slings, just need to persevere!

So overall, I loved it (and will be buying one as soon as I find one for sale secondhand!).

I had one of these for my daughter and used it from about day 2 up until she was 4-5 months old solidly. Brilliant for taking the dog out for a walk without being constrained to tarmac paths with a pram. My husband used it nearly as much as me despite being very tall and having a dodgy back! It was super comfortable, we found no problem with tying it, although it does take fractionally longer to get out of the house than using a more structured carrier would. We didn't get on with having our daughter in sideways, which is one of the suggestions for a newborn, but as soon as we had her facing directly in instead she was fine.
The major drawback was that it really screws up your clothes underneath it!
Only other thought about it - but in common with most similar slings I'm sure - is that my daughter never really wore pretty dresses as she was in the sling every day pretty much and sleepsuits and then leggings worked so much better!
We really loved it, would highly recommend it and felt it was reasonably priced (we bought it online from a lovely supplier who included a note saying she'd used one, loved it, and would give us any hints / help!). Have handed on to my sister to use now!

I have used the Melkaj sling this last month and love it so much I am now considering investing in one.
My daughter is 4 months old and had previously been in a caboo or a woven wrap.
The Melkaj gave me the feeling of security that I had with the woven wrap but was much simpler to put on and off. The straps are a good length and were easy to tie even for me (size 16/18) and for my husband (6'1") though he was not a fan of the "girly" design!
I found the sleep hood a little fiddly though rolled up it made a good cushion to support her head when she was tired.
The only downside I found with this sling was putting it on in a car park when it was/had been raining meant that the ends of the straps got a bit wet, but as this is likely to be the case with any wrap or sling that needs to be tied on it is not something I would count against it.
Overall - a good solid secure feeling sling that is easy to use.

I had a go with this ring sling and I love it but I think it works better when used with newborns or younger babes. I thought it'd be a good altenative to lugging my daughter around on my hip, but I think she's just too heavy now as it made my shoulder ache. it is a beautiful ring sling though and the fabric feels so nice and soft yet supportive.

I loved this wrap, it's nice and supportive so you can use it with older (heavier) babies and toddlers, both on your front and on your back (you can also do hipcarries, but i never mastered this art!). Lovely wrap to move onto from a stretchy wrap. I found it was long enough to use when my LO was still dinky, but now she's older and bigger(and I am a larger lady) it's not really long enough for us.

This was the first babycarrier I used with my LO, she was about 9 weeks old and was awful with colic. It saved my sanity! I used it all the time: from going shopping (when random people come and coo at you and peer down your top; don't wear low cut tops mummys as people have to look in and get a nice view of your baby, and oops! your boobs too!), to putting the washing out, washing up, vacuuming, cooking, using the loo(!) and even eating dinner (ended up with spaghetti all over baby's head :-0). So easy to use and great start to the idea of wrapping your baby. This wrap has sleepy dust I swear, as every time my LO went in it, she drifted off to sleep. Fab wrap, I recommend wholeheartedly!

This is a lovely mei tai for older babies/toddlers/preschoolers, I use one with my 33month old and its great for out and about when she gets tired of walking. I always have it either in my bag or car as it is so convenient and easy to use (better than having to lug a buggy around for when she gets tired!).

Really quick easy to put on and wear when baby is awake. Baby is now 9 months and when asleep this sling does not support the head and neck enough so the head tends to roll backwards. I've tried having it tight and also tucking his arms in when he is asleep, however, I still seem to get the tipping backwards which I am not comfortable with.

I love this sling - its really really easy - comfy for both of us too. Wish it could go on the back too but I tend to do that just with a piece of cloth west african style later on. For the early days (pre walking/talking) when I wanted mine under my nose this was perfect for me...

It is a silly price for two bands of cloth though - but having tried to make my own it may not be as easy as it looks!!!
