Another busy meet today July 6, 2009
Posted by admin in : Uncategorized , comments closedThe July meet was another busy one. This was especially nice to see as the Southern Daily Echo came along today to talk to the parents who were there and take some pictures. Look out for us the paper next Tuesday (14th July) and also again in September to mark International Babywearing Week. We are planning a joint event with Portsmouth Sling Meet to mark IBW – look out for more details nearer the time.
We hope that everyone that hired slings will enjoy using them this month and look forward to seeing you all again at our next meet, which is on Thursday, August 6th.

May and June meets both big successes! June 4, 2009
Posted by admin in : Uncategorized , comments closedThe last two meets have been our biggest yet and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have joined us. The Children’s Centre is proving to be a lovely venue, with lots of toys to entertain the older children, and lots of space for us to try out the large collection of slings that we now have. It is also lovely to see people bringing their own collections to enable people to try out even more slings! Or next meet is on Monday July 6th. Hope to see you there!

April Meet April 21, 2009
Posted by admin in : Uncategorized , comments closedOur April meet was the first one to be held in our new venue. Some people had trouble finding us, so we will be adding further directions before our next meet! The older children had a lovely time playing outside in the sunshine, leaving their Mums free to play with the large selection of slings that we had available to try out. Thanks go to Emily Light, The Family Support Outreach Worker at the Children’s Centre for entertaining the children during the session.

March meet was another busy one! March 5, 2009
Posted by admin in : Uncategorized , comments closedThe March Sling Meet took place on Monday 2nd and we had another very pleasing turn-out. We had our highest ever number of very young babies and therefore the demand for stretchy wraps was high. As a result, we have contacted some more manufacturers and have at least one more wrap on its way to the library – look out for our new arrival(s) at the next meet!
Our next meet is on Thursday April 2nd and will be at our new venue – please see posts further down on this page for details. We hope to see you there.
