I can easily carry either my 15 month old son, or my 3 year old daughter (see pic above!) without any pain in my back or shoulders. The wide shoulder straps spread the weight well over your shoulders and don't dig in at all. I use this sling whenever I need to carry one of them for any length of time. I use it for back carries most often, but it is also comfortable in front, hip or back carries. If my son is asleep in the car, I can usually transfer him in to this sling in a front carry without him waking and enjoy a snuggly cuddle while we get on with whatever needs doing!
