A great beginner sling that will last and last.
Functional rather than stylish – it is easy to put on with buckles to slick in (rather than any knots to tie).
Man-friendly!
Has a pocket which is useful for a nappy and set of keys.
Roomy – my 3 yr old still fits in.
Comfortable – children seem almost weightless (compared to carrying them in your arms/on your hip without a sling)
Easy to do a back carry I found because the straps are already done up.
Front carry trickier – you may well need to get another person to do up the support buckle that goes between the straps across your back.
Overall – great sling best for back carry (1 year to 3+ years)
I have the Ergobaby Carrier and love it! I only use it as a front carrier for my 16 months old baby girl. I need to use it on the back more often! I would definitely buy this carrier again, it’s a great product and makes it easy to carry a toddler.
I used the Ergo new generation for my daughter from 8 months to 4 yrs and loved it. I am soon to have baby number two and just wondered if anyone has used the Ergo with the insert, to breast feed? I am not anticipating having much time to sit and feed this time, so am on a search for a tried and tested, from birth feeding sling.
Any suggestions would be really helpful.

I found this design to be easy to adjust and get babies or toddlers into it without any problems front and back – with a bit of practice you can do it by yourself. It packs away quite small, so is good for walks when you don’t know when your toddler might run out of energy. I have used it extensively in the UK on long walks, and has handy hood for when baby dozes off. I’ve used it in the Swiss mountains going up cable cars and for Zoo visits. Very good when taking an infant round London – good for the tube, much easier than a buggy. It might seem pricey, but we have got loads of use out of it. If you are a bloke and want something flexible and not too garish, then give this one a try.
