Girasol
The Girasol is a woven wrap which is available in a range of different lengths and can be tied in many different ways to give numerous different carrying positions. It can be used to carry your child on your front, back or hip.
We have a Girasol 4.6m woven wrap in our Bursledon Sling Library which was kindly donated by Girasol and a 4.6m Earthy Rainbow Girasol with tapered ends in our Swaythling Sling Library which was purchased for us by SureStart Children’s Centres Southampton.

I love this wrap! My son is now too tall for my MT (he’s 88cm tall at 18 months) and far too heavy to carry in my stretchy wrap, so I have been trying out the library’s Girasol and I think it’s fab. We have now mastered back carries in it and it supports his weight well, making it very comfortable for me. His neck is also supported by the fabric, allowing him to sleep comfortably in it without his head lolling. We had a newborn wrapped in a similar carry at the recent Sling Meet, so this sling should be suitable for any size of baby/toddler.
